Safety Town is a free program offered to children in the community entering kindergarten at Northwood Local Schools. Safety Town covers safety topics, such as police, fire, bus, railroad, poison control, bicycle safety & a variety of other safety-related topics.
Safety Town is hosted at the Northwood Local Schools building, 600 Lemoyne Road. Check-in starts at 9A Monday – Friday, and classes are from 9:30 -11:30A. Daily sessions will end with a lunch provided free of charge to all students from the school cafeteria. Parents may bring other children during lunch, who will be provided a free lunch as part of a summer feeding program. Parents must come to the school cafeteria to pick up their children or sit with them during lunch. Friday’s session will include a graduation ceremony at the end of the safety session that morning.
