Along with providing security services for the school campus, the Northwood Police Department's SRO also serves as the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) officer.  The SRO teaches lessons to students on a variety of drug prevention topics.

The Northwood Police Department's SRO also serves as the community liason officer; providing community engagement services to the public and organizations, such as police department tours, Safety Town, Fall Fest Kid I.D. station, and more.
