Ohio License Agencies Re-Opening

Updated: Jul 31, 2020

On Tuesday, May 26, 2020, the Ohio BMV license agencies will re-open to the public. House Bill 197 (HB 197) is still in effect to offer an extension on the expiration dates of Ohio driver licenses and vehicle registrations.

HB 197 states that Ohio licenses (including driver licenses, CDLs, identification cards, temporary instruction permits, vehicle registrations and vehicle temporary tags,) expiring during the declared State of Emergency shall remain valid until either 90 days after the declared emergency ends, or December 1, 2020, whichever comes sooner.

Visit https://www.bmv.ohio.gov/ for more information and hours of operation. Note: Some locations may have adjusted hours.
